This cleaver is forged from leaf spring steel (5160) and features a Desert Ironwood burl handle and mosaic pins with red liner. This blade has an 8 1/2” cutting edge 3 1/8” tall and 13 1/2” overall. This is a very heavy, thick traditional al American style meat cleaver. The heart is hand filed and is based on a vintage French cleaver I saw once.
